Mama Cella's restaurant is owned and operated by the Walsh Family. My wife Tammy and I (Tim) have been married for over 30 years. We have 5 children, Amanda "The Princess" is our oldest and our only girl, Ryan, our first son who graduated with his masters in History and works in the recruiting industry, Tyler who runs our kitchen and makes sure the quality of our food stays consistant and as tasty as ever, Shane who is a graduate from Rancho Bernardo High School and works in the retail industry as well as pursuing his passion of music, and last but certainly not least Nicholas, who has a passion and trains in jiu jitsu and works for Mama Cella's where he cooks some of your delicious dinners when you come in to dine with us. We recently welcomed our first grandchild, Jaelyn Jaymes, who has quickly become the center of all of our worlds!!
We bought Mama Cella's June of 2007. We were going to change the name to Antonetti's which is my ( both grandfathers were Irish hence the last name Walsh ) grandmother the inspiration for the Italian Restaurant with her MEATBALL recipe, but Mama Cella's was already established for 9 years. When we bought the restaurant we bought the name and the recipes because of the established clientele we decided to tweak the recipes to our taste, create a truly better pizza, meatball, and overall menu. We kept the Mama Cella's name.
We feel very lucky and blessed to be part of the Rancho Bernardo Community. We believe strongly in giving back to our community, working with the local schools, which our children along with a number of nieces and nephews attend RB High School. We also contribute to local churches and charities.
